1. While on Club property, all WCDs are to be switched to silent mode (no ringing, beeping or vibrating).
2. Talking on a cell phone is prohibited on the golf courses, in the Clubhouse and on the property in general, other than in a vehicle in the parking lot, in a designated phone booth or in the Business Centre.
3. Silent, non-audible use of WCDs is permitted in the following areas, but must be discreet and non-disruptive to others:
- Locker rooms
- Pro Shop
- Second and third floors of the Clubhouse (other than in the Men’s TV Room, Men’s Balcony, Women’s Scoring Room and Women’s TV Room)
- Learning Centre
- The Tee House at the practice area
- Parking lots
- The Business Centre
For clarity, use of WCDs is not permitted on the main floor of the Clubhouse including the Lawn and other areas where players and their guests are enjoying food and beverage service), other than in the Men’s locker room or rooms that have been booked for meetings.
4. Provided proper golf course etiquette is observed and pace of play is not affected, silent, non-audible use of WCDs is permitted on the golf courses only on tee boxes if you are waiting for the group in front to clear. Any use of WCDs on the golf courses outside of the tee boxes or in any manner that slows down the pace of play will not be tolerated. Players are encouraged to carry their WCDs in silent mode for use in emergency situations on the golf courses. The use of WCDs as GPS measuring devices is permitted as long as the WCDs are not used for other purposes not permitted by this policy.
Players are responsible for ensuring that their guests are aware of, and comply with, all Club policies.
